The China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair)  Goes Online for the First Time in 63 Years in response to the Corona Virus.  This 127th online Fair is to be held from June 15 to 24.  "The 127th Canton Fair is proposed to take place online in lieu of a physical exhibition. This is both a pragmatic response to the COVID-19 pandemic and a major initiative for innovative development." said Ren Hongbin, Assistant Minister of Commerce. 

Powered by advanced information technology, the Canton Fair will provide around-the-clock online services for product promotion, matchmaking and business negotiations, enabling both Chinese and international businesses to place orders remotely. Due to corona virus,  INA PAACE Automechanika Mexico City will now take place September 24-26, 2020 at Centro Citibanamex in Mexico City, Mexico, which was suposed to be held between the dates July 22th to 24th.

Due to Corona Virus, Automechanika Dubai, the 18th edition of the annual three-day event, which was scheduled to run from 7-9 June 2020, will now take place from 19-21 October 2020 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

On March 26, the Ministry of Commerce held the regular press conference. Liu Changyu, Deputy Director General, Foreign Trade Department of Ministry of Commerce, when answering a question “whether there is a new date for the Canton Fair or will it be canceled", said that the Canton Fair is a key platform for China’s foreign trade and opening up. As the “barometer” of foreign trade, Canton Fair attracts thousands of traders and worldwide attention. Ever since the outbreak, the Ministry of Commerce, together with Guangdong Provincial Government, has prepared for the 127th session based on the plans and closely followed the pandemic situation to analyze the related influence and adjust our plans. After study, we've decided to postpone the 127th Canton Fair. Coordination between different departments and regions will be stepped up, sound preparations will be continued and various plans including epidemic prevention and control improved. The new date for the fair will be released as soon as confirmed.

Due to the corona virus, Feria Autopartes Medellín 2020 which was initially projected to be held between the dates June 24th to 26th, 2020 is postponed to Sept. 23th to 25th, 2020.

Due to the corona virus, Automechanika Istanbul fair which was initially projected to be held between the dates April 2 to 5, 2020 is postponed to June 25-28, 2020.

Due to the quick spread of coronavirus, amost all China companies and factories, except for epidemic prevention material producer and some necessory stores or companies for daily life, postponed their business resumption time again and again to make sure of staff safety and health.

Now China is slowly getting back business after the deadly coronavirus outbreak.  But it's still far from business as usualin the world's second-largest economy. Today Wuhan announced lockdown to control the spread of the virus. The transport hub of more than 10 million people temporarily closed its airports, rail stations and all main roads out of town, as well as suspended public buses and subways. Before and during the Spring Festival, controlling the flow of crowds was a key issue.

The lockdown was "a very difficult decision" said Wang Xiaodong, governor of Hubei province. Without doubt, the lockdown has brought hardship to the people of Wuhan.But during these difficult time, a quarantine is the most effective and fast way to prevent a more serious situation from developing.
